Some updates...

Also, got a fantastic new job, FRONT LINE!

I'm doing casework for an agency here in town. with kids the social services in town do not have room for. I love it.

I apologize for the lack of sound in the video, it's short, a glimpse of my costume for hallows eve. there was loud music in the background.

A slice.

A slice from an email I sent an old teacher... after the pre-send reading... thought it was post-worthy.

"I got to experience a vital and very humbling day, in terms of my growth as an SSW. I took part in my church's food bank. Our church is usually 12 people strong on a good Sunday. On this day there were well over 100 people, waiting for a hot bowl of chili and a bag of food. I'll tell you, not only did this renew my views as an SSW, by making me feel like I was doing something worth while, but more importantly renewed my faith, ABSOLUTELY, in humanity. In this business it's so easy to get so hung up on everything that's wrong, because there is a LOT wrong, with the world, in general... we know this.. for a day, maybe 2 hours... it seemed as though everyone put all the bullshit they'd been served aside, ego and pocketbook in the corner... to help. just to help another person. Isn't that what our practise is founded on, at it's roots? Not funding, diagnoses, medications, policies, workshops.... Just helping the people who NEED it."

Much news to report.

Firstly, I quit wal-mart, one day in. What a BRUTAL place to work. EVERYONE was so sour. a very disturbed environment, even management. On the flip side however, I have an interview at my next favourite economy crippling mega-company, McDonalds. Rejoice, friends, family, and consurs alike... Captain Amazing is on his way back to the varied world of fast food.

Had a newfie dish tonight... Cod Cheeks... very tasty.

Another show on thursday, should be a good turnout.

That's all the updates for now... oh yeah, I have a new tattoo.

New tattoo's

Hello evening.

First and foremost, a very happy and productive thanksgiving to all.

I'm having a big turkey tonight, he's sitting down in the sink, poor thing.

Next week, a new tattoo, an ode to those who put me where I am.

Got another show, on the 18th.

Ran out of orange juice this morning, bummer.

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures, I plan to have another set much like that this thursday.

I think theres a sick going around the house, everyone's got sniffley noses.

I hope everyone is doing well, have a big din-din and a good nap for me.

Cam and dad, you guys better do the post turkey dinner wrestle before the dishes.

8:44, what a day.

Hello all,
woke up a wee bit earlier then usual. Grandpa be proud. 8:44 and I'm awake, dressed, caffinated and ready to go.

Bringing the new tattoo to the tattoo guy today. prolly be a few weeks till I have that done.

The blogger thing won't let me upload pictures this morning, but I've devised my own way, they're just a wee bit big. I'll fix that later.

These two pictures are from a little nature walk I went on. I really like the ducks, as I always have, they seem so personable.
Taking a night to realy rest before the big weekend... two shows and a shot of screech. Yikes. Hopefully THIS weekend we end up getting screeched for real.

My interview with the Y went well, although I couldn't say if they actually enjoyed my company or not. Not sure.
Maybe it's because I don't have a degree ha ha.

I'll write again this evening, have some phonecalls to make.
